After delaying ECER until fall it was clear that only a smaller, less international event could take place. We set the date for September 28th to 30th and to fit expectations to the circumstances renamed the event to “RoboCoop Student Conference in Austria” (RSCA). HTL St Pölten kindly offered to host the event.
The program consisted of a Botball showcase of the school’s teams, and workshops for the school’s electronics students. Anyone who knows our events and workshops knows that we like to work hands-on and some degree of interaction is unavoidable, which is why we opted for masks during the whole event.
As a little extra, our Slovak partners prepared a video contribution. Richard Balogh presented the Robot League’s online competition concepts: although head-to-head contests are hard without robot teams meeting in person, video-based formats open the door for creative competition concepts.
The event hopefully instilled some interest in robotics and ECER, and we hope for a more regular event next year!
